Two state lawmakers honored Harley-Davidson, which is celebrating two anniversaries.The company is marking 120 years since its founding, as well as the 50th anniversary of its plant in Springettsbury Township, York County.Sens. Chris Gebhard of Lebanon County and Kristin Phillips-Hill of York County held the event on Wednesday in Harrisburg.
They welcomed Bill and Karen Davidson, who are great-grandchildren of Harley founder William A. Davidson.'It's wonderful to be able to recognize them for the significant contributions that they have made to the York County economy – over 1,200 jobs currently at that plant – and a lot of people have made some beautiful memories and had some really enjoyable times riding those motorcycles,' Phillips-Hill said.
