PennLive's Editorial Board will stream to Facebook meeting with Pennsylvania Council of Churches at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8.
The Pennsylvania Council of Churches has invited Paul Butler, one of the nation’s acclaimed authors and experts on criminal justice, to keynote its “Summit on Policing" at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 10 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral in Harrisburg.PennLive’s Editorial Board will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, with Paul Butler, author of “Chokehold: Policing Black Men,” to discuss his upcoming visit to Harrisburg to speak at a forum sponsored by the Pennsylvania Council of Churches.
PennLive’s Editorial Board meeting also will include the Rev. Dr. Larry Pickens and Chad Dion Lassiter, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. Rev. Pickens led the committee organizing the event, and is leading the organization to become more engaged in community affairs. Lassiter will speak on a panel following Butler’s keynote remarks.
