The visitor to Susquehanna University claims he was so drunk he did not realize what the banner stated.
SELINSGROVE-A Penn State sophomore claims he was so intoxicated he did not realize the banner at Susquehanna University he damaged attempting to rip it down proclaimed “Black Lives Matter.”about the March 7 incidentThey charged him Monday with institutional vandalism. He will be sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
He, his friend, and another male decided to get something to eat and while walking around the Degenstein Campus Center he attempted to forcibly remove a banner hanging from the building. Susquehanna has confirmed two of its students have been disciplined for not reporting the damage to the banner but they have not been charged criminally.The “Black Lives Matter” banner was one of two hanging from an exterior wall at the Degenstein center. The other proclaims: “You Belong Here.”
