BREAKING The road is shut - emergency services on the scene
A woman has been rushed to hospital following the incident. Lancashire Constabulary were called to Sherwood Way, Fulwood, at around 1.44pm.
Officers were responding to reports of a collision which involved a bus and a female pedestrian. The pedestrian has been taken to hospital. Sherwood Way in both directions blocked and is causing queueing traffic due to accident which took place between The Sherwood and Barnacre Close, according to Traffic monitoring site Inrix.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: "We were called at approximately 1344 today to Sherwood Way, Fulwood, to reports of a road traffic collision. A bus was in collision with a female pedestrian. "The pedestrian has been taken to hospital by the ambulance service. Road closures are in place in the area."
