Emergency services remain at the scene after a pedestrian was knocked down by a car on a busy Lanarkshire road.
Police and paramedics were called to the B7071 Glasgow Road, near Belmont Avenue, in Uddingston at around 11am Wednesday, May 17. Officers have locked down the scene while a full accident investigation takes place. The condition of the person who was struck by the vehicle is unknown. A picture at the scene shows a white sheet on the ground with evidence markers placed across the roadway.
