A man was killed Sunday night while walking in the 3500 block of Quebec Street in the Central Park neighborhood.
The fatality is under investigation and officers were not ready to report the circumstances of the crash, including who had the right-of-way and whether speed was a factor, said Officer Cassandra Ulrich, a Denver Police Department spokeswoman. The victim’s identity was not released, pending family notification.
The driver of a black SUV who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene, Ulrich said. No charges have been filed. The crash happened at 10 p.m., and Quebec Street was closed for several hours while the fatality was investigated.
