Paul's legacy is being felt on Merseyside after his death earlier this year
An animal rescue dedicated to giving struggling bully breeds a second chance at life has received a generous donation thanks to Merseyside's most famous dog lover, Paul O'Grady.
A spokesman for Carla Lane Animals in Need said: "The trustees and Staff at Carla Lane send heartfelt thanks to the Paul O'Grady Foundation for their incredible £20,000 donation to our charity. It’s a wonderful tribute to a charity in his home town. "Paul O'Grady's boundless love for dogs was obvious for all to see. He would have undoubtedly embraced our boy Rex with open arms. His heart held a special place for every canine, regardless of breed or background. Especially the most vulnerable and abused .
