Patients were discharged from hospitals to care homes unlawfully during the pandemic, the High Court has ruled, with the government failing to consider the risk
Dr Cathy Gardner and Fay Harris, whose fathers both died in care homes during the pandemic, partially succeeded in legal action against the health secretary and Public Health England today.In the ruling, Lord Justice Bean and Mr Justice Garnham concluded that policies contained in documents released in March and early April 2020 were unlawful.
