PALO ALTO — The Palo Alto High School campus was placed under shelter-in-place orders Tuesday morning after a teacher found a “violent” note on a classroom door, according to authorities.
Police said in a news release that the teacher found the note taped to the front door of a classroom Tuesday morning. The note indicated that the person intended to “shoot up” the classroom later that morning — when, as police noted, the classroom was scheduled to hold a final examination. Administrators for the school, located at 50 Embarcadero Road, contacted police at 8:57 a.m. The school was placed under shelter-in-place orders as authorities investigated.
