president Kevin Pritchard had the strongest statement on the future of Myles Turner since he was drafted.
Turner received approximately $58 million in new money through the 2025-26 season. According to news reports, Turner renegotiated his contract to add $17.1 million this year in addition to approximately $41 million over the next two seasons.The contract, however, does not preclude the Pacers from trading Turner by the Feb. 9 deadline.
Turner is in the midst of his most productive season as a professional, averaging 17.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, both career highs. He also has career bests in field goal percentage , 3-point field goal percentage and effective field goal percentage . "Give Myles a ton of credit here," Pritchard said."He took a risk. We talked about an extension in the past. He wanted to wait another year. He wanted to be ... playing the right position, the one that he's most comfortable with. ... We were hopeful we could overachieve this year, but it's risen to a level that it's incredibly fun to watch this team. On any given night, there's a bunch of players that can really blossom.
