according to a recent report from the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, nearly 3,200 bridges in the state are currently considered to be in “poor condition.”
That is reportedly about 14-percent of the state’s bridges, which is also about double the national average for bridges in each state in need of repair. In fact, the report says, Pennsylvania ranks second in the country, behind Iowa’s 4,504, in bridges that need repair.the American Road and Transportation Builders Association and found the most traveled “structurally deficient” bridge in Pennsylvania. And, per that report, that bridge is located in Philadelphia on I-95 over Fraley Street.
