Joe Gazzo, 42, fell through a hole that had been cut out for HVAC on the roof of the Pine-Richland High School on Thursday.
“The district has learned that the worker involved in the high school construction accident has passed away,” a district spokesperson told news outlets via a statement. “We extend our thoughts and condolences to his family and loved ones.”
Gazzo worked for Greco Steel for 23 years, according to WPXI, who spoke with his father, Joseph Gazzo. “In the evenings, we were always a team. Always there to help mom,” he said, adding that Gazzo’s mother suffers from dementia. “I don’t know what I’m going to do now.”If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
