The annual Remembrance Day service at Oxhey Village Green is taking place this Sunday with a special guest.
The ceremony, which takes place each year to honour those who died at war, will have the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Patrick Moriarty attending.
Mr Filer added: “It is such a lovely community event. I am so glad that young people get involved as they get a chance to learn about Remembrance Day and the Guides and Scouts attend with their flags which helps bring the community further together. The Last Post will be played by Ian Brameld and Andy Probert as part of the service as well as the community walk which goes from the Oxhey Green memorial to Watford Heath, where the wreaths will be laid.The parade will include members of local Girlguiding and Scout groups and the public are invited to walk alongside the colour parties who are carrying their flags.
