An appeal has now been launched to find out what happened after the assault on Friday (September 28) left the victims injured.
It happened at 1.30am at the Istanbul Grill takeaway, Moor Street, Ormskirk.
Since then, three men have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding in connection with this incident. Police believe a number of people witnessed the assault but are yet to come forward.READ MORE: Tragic death of Preston brother who 'never came to terms with sister's situation' A spokesperson for the force said: "We’re appealing for information and witnesses after an assault left a man and a woman with head injuries.
"We were called to the Istanbul Grill takeaway, Moor Street, Ormskirk, to reports of an assault at around 1.30am on Friday, September 29. Three men have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding in connection with this incident. We believe a number of people witnessed the assault but have not yet spoken to us. We would encourage them to get in contact.
