Opinion: Vendor crackdown long overdue in San Diego's beach areas [Opinion]

It is about time action is being taken to return our beaches to the public. I am a senior citizen who has been riding my bike along the boardwalk and Bay Walk for over 40 years until the vendors were permitted. It is impossible to safely ride through these areas as the crowds walk back and forth without regard to those on bikes, skateboarders or joggers.Advertisement

It is so unsafe that I have to take streets and avoid cars or alleys near the beach with cars, potholes and broken pavement. I can only hope this will be enforced so our beautiful beaches will once again be safe for the citizens of San Diego.
