He also allowed one earned run and struck out 12 across his two earlier starts on June 9 and 16.
Ohtani is the second pitcher in Angels history to record 10-plus strikeouts in at least four consecutive pitching appearances, joining Nolan Ryan, who accomplished the feat six times, the team said. He's also the sixth player to have at least 45 strikeouts and one or fewer earned runs over a four-game span since earned runs became official in 1913,
