Ohioans voted Tuesday on a proposed state law that would legalize recreational marijuana for adults to use.

The ballot issue would legalize recreational marijuana in Ohio and allow adults 21 and over to possess up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis and to grow plants at home. Ohio would become the 24th state to legalize recreational marijuana if the measure passes.
Issue 2 was proposed as an initiated statute, or proposed law. Now that it has passed, the General Assembly can amend or even repeal parts or all of it.
