Questions have been asked of the big money summer signing who has failed to break into the starting XI for big games of late.
Danilo has been backed to blast his way out of his stuttering start for Rangers and deliver goals by former Feyenoord team mate Ofir Marciano.
Danilo has found the net twice in nine appearances for Rangers and Cyriel Dessers and Kemar Roofe were preferred by Michael Beale against Celtic. But Marciano said: “I worked with Danilo last season and technically he is amazing. He has amazing control and is a really good finisher. Former Rangers striker and Mail Sport columnist Kenny Miller admitted he was perplexed by Danilo’s lack of game time so far. Miller said: “You don’t spend that money on a player who played for the team that won the Dutch league last year and now he can’t get a game in a front-line that’s not firing.”
