A man and woman were hospitalized in stable condition after they were shot Wednesday in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
OAKLAND — A man and woman were hospitalized in stable condition after they were shot in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Shortly after 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to reports of a possible shooting near a supermarket parking lot in the 5700 block of Foothill Boulevard near Avenal. When officers arrived, they found a woman in her sixties suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in her upper torso. They provided care until paramedics and Oakland Fire Department firefighters could take over and transport her to a hospital.
Soon after, officers learned that a man suffering from a gunshot wound who had been struck at the same location was dropped off at a hospital. Both victims were listed in stable condition. Police did not share any information about a possible suspect or associated vehicle. There were no suspects in custody.For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $10,000 in the shooting.
