OAKLAND — All lanes of westbound Interstate 580 reopened to traffic several hours after the California Highway Patrol closed at least two lanes as part of a police response to an unspecified incident Thursday, authorities said.
The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 2:35 p.m., saying that the roadway’s Nos. 3 and 4, or right-hand lanes, were blocked. There was no estimated time of reopening, and Interstate 880 was recommended as an alternate route.
