Damage to a building is seen Monday after a small tornado set down in eastern Lorain County. EATON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A small tornado briefly touched down Monday in eastern Lorain County, damaging buildings and vehicles, according to the National Weather Service.
The tornado touched down at about 2:19 p.m. east-northeast of Eaton Estates and was on the ground for about a minute and less than a 10th of a mile, the Weather Service says. The EF0 tornado was 75 yards wide and had a top wind speed of 80 mph. There were no reports of injuries, but there was damage to several industrial buildings and vehicles off of Eaton Commerce Way, the Weather Service says.
