Three judges heard his appeal and their decision is final

"I would like to make a brief statement to address the outcomes of today's Court hearing. I will now be taking some time to rest and to recuperate, before making any further comments beyond this. "I am uncomfortable that the focus of the past weeks has been on me and I hope that we can all now focus on the game and tournament I love. I would like to wish the players, tournament officials, staff, volunteers and fans all the best for the tournament.

Critics accused the player of getting special treatment by being allowed a medical exemption - which turned out to be that he'd had COVID in December so didn't need to be vaccinated - and the issue became a huge political issue in the country. Djokovic was bidding to win the competition for a 10th time and in doing so top Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as the most successful men's Grand Slam player.Court will reconvene at 6.45am UK timeDjokovic's first match is scheduled for Monday... if he wins his appeal
