National Grid estimates all properties will be restored by 7:30pm
Traffic monitoring site Nottingham Travelwise tweeted: "This is affecting several sets of traffic signals in the area."
A spokesperson for National Grid said: "We have restored powers to NG5 but as we still have other properties off supply in the areas we are still working on the electricity network. During this time you may see further interruptions with your supply. We are sorry for any inconvenience that it is causing you."
