Garry Birtles, a Nottingham Forest legend, has recommended that Ryan Yates should be brought back into the starting line-up as the club aims to improve their form. Forest has not won a game in six matches and will face Aston Villa on Sunday. Yates has not started a game since his impressive performance in the 1-0 win against Chelsea on September 2. Birtles believes that Yates should not be overlooked despite the success of other midfielders.
Nottingham Forest legend Garry Birtles has suggested Ryan Yates should be recalled to the starting line-up as his old club look to turn their form around.
He said: "The number of times he's made a difference when he's come on or started, you've got to take into consideration what the others are doing. Are they creating chances? Are they scoring goals? "I honestly do because their performances were particularly good. These new players have great ability. There's great players like Drogba and Bergkamp and it didn't come straight away for them in the Premier League.
