NOTTINGHAM College has been placed on lockdown after a "serious assault" with one man rushed to hospital.
Cops said that a male sustained a single stab wound following an altercation involving a "small group of youths" outside Nottingham College in Canal Street.The man was rushed to hospital after the "serious assault"His injuries are not thought to be life-altering or life-threatening. Students were told to stay inside the building after the stabbing at about 11:30am on Thursday, but they have now been asked to go home.Three males, 16, 17 and 18, are being held on suspicion of affray, according to the BBC.A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Canal Street, Nottingham, at 11.32am today following reports of a serious assault.
"A young male has been taken to hospital and is receiving treatment. A scene is in place while officers investigate the incident. Witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting incident 244 of 2 February 2023.”
