Maverick’s achievement was recognized during the special ceremony held at 3:30 PM on May 31, where he took his oath of service in front of his fellow officers.
This Belgian Malinois has become the newest member of the force and earned the distinction of being the first certified firearms-detecting K9 in Northeast Florida, having recently completed his National Police Canine Association K9 Firearms Detection Certification on May 25.The Duval County Public School District expressed their excitement at welcoming Maverick to the team.
In addition to his impressive credentials, Maverick also boasts a unique taste in food. His favorite delicacy is salmon, adding a touch of charm to his already impressive profile.
