Smoke billowing in the air from a residential fire in unincorporated King County could be seen in Georgetown.All lanes of northbound State Route 509 are blocked near South Cloverdale Street in south Seattle as crews respond to a residential fire in the area, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Firefighters are on the scene of the house fire located at 10485 8th Avenue South, according to Puget Sound Fire. The fire extended into vegetation surrounding the property and smoke billowing in the air can be seen from miles away.There is no estimated time for the route’s reopening.
