Issues “outside the company’s control” have put a drag on sales
Clothing retailer Superdry has suggested it may be closing some of its stores in a plan to cut costs by more than £35 million after consumer spending revealed dismal sales this quarter.
Plans to make cost savings of over £35 million were also revealed. Proposals inside the plan includes “estate optimisation”, which could mean shop closures. But bosses have reassured customers that other money-saving activities like logistics and distribution savings and continued range reduction are also on the books.Superdry, which turned over a profit of 36.
“I am confident that we have the right plan and, working together as a team, the business will emerge from the current turbulence stronger than ever.”
