later this month, Florence + the Machine played a special concert this past Friday evening at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. Her set list included her classic hit “Dog Days” and the new song “Girls Against God,” where the singer took a moment to speak out against. “This is for you—I am so angry for you, and I love you,” Welch said on stage.
Seeing how Welch wrote the new record during lockdown in 2020, connecting with a live audience is now especially poignant.
