You can explore NOAA’s eight regional focus areas from the comfort of your home! From the Pacific Islands to the Great Lakes and beyond, take a visual journey through our first-ever summer film festival. You’ll learn how NOAA’s work serves the public and the coastal and inland communities of the U.S. — and see some breathtaking imagery along the way.
We will release one new video featuring a distinct region each Wednesday, from August 3 – September 21. You can watch each video as they are released, or “binge watch” several at a time by visitingNOAA’s mission is to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, ocean, and coasts, to share that knowledge and information with others and to conserve and manage coastal and marine ecosystems and resources.
NOAA’s mission reflects the different needs and priorities of the focus areas featured in these films. As you watch, you’ll see how NOAA tunes its mission to the wide variety of our nation’s natural resources, weather patterns, regional priorities and public safety challenges. NOAA will release a new video featuring one of NOAA’s eight regional focus areas each Wednesday, from August 3 – September 21.
