If you missed two of the year's earlier horror flicks, they're making their way to Peacock over the next few weeks.
If you ended up missing either Night Swim or Lisa Frankenstein during their respective runs, Peacock’s got covered. The two Universal films are landing on NBCUniversal’s streaming platform over the next two weeks—Lisa will drop next Friday, March 29, while Night Swim arrives the following week on April 5. Of the two, Night Swim came out first on January 5, and is based on a 2014 short film from director Bryce McGuire and Rod Blackhurst.
Set in 1989, Kathryn Newton plays a goth girl who ends up reviving a Victorian-era corpse called the Creature. The two gradually start to fall for each other while also murdering people they don’t like and take those body parts to graft onto Creature so he looks less corpse-y. Unlike Night Swim, it got more mixed reviews, but ultimately fizzled at the box office, making $9.9 million on a $13 million budget. Within weeks of release, it left theaters to hit VOD.
