It appears Pamela Anderson and her new husband, producer Jon Peters, are calling it quits.
"Life is a journey and love is a process," the statement continued."With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy."A rep for Anderson did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment.
On Jan. 22, Anderson tweeted a throwback photo of herself with Peters and captioned the image,"#Pamela Peters" followed by a heart emoji.By Saturday, the actress' tone had changed, :"Every love affair is an attempt to thwart fate; it’s a naive illusion of brief immortality," a quote from Russian writer Gaito Gazdanov, followed by a quote from Albert Einstein: “Madness is always doing the same thing and waiting for different results."
The nuptials marked the fifth marriage for both Anderson, 52, and Peters, 74, who dated each other more than 30 years ago. Anderson is best known for her role on TV's"Baywatch." She also starred in 1996's"Barb Wire" and 2003's"Scary Movie 3."Contributing: Sara M Moniuszko
