Football Insider has been told by Alan Hutton that Newcastle United should have done more to ensure fan safety during their trip to Milan.
Newcastle United slammed for not prioritising fan safety in Milan for their Champions League clash., former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender suggested Newcastle should have worked with AC Milan to ensure the travelling supporters could safely get to and from the San Siro.
The Magpies held the Italian giants to a 0-0 draw on Tuesday and secured a vital point in the opening game of their return to European football but the evening was tarnished after fans were left stranded at the stadium.They’ve stopped the metros in Milan at San Siro… so thousands of NUFC fans have no way from getting home apart from 2 hour walk to city centre! What a shambles. No way to treat supporters.
