The deal will be formally announced today, according to people familiar with the matter.
The Yankees launched YES, the most watched regional sports network in the country, in 2002, and the original investors were the baseball team, Goldman Sachs and the owners of the New Jersey Nets basketball team. The YES Network features programming for the Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, New York City FC , Manchester City and the Atlantic Coast Conference.to Fox in 2012, and Fox increased its stake to 80% in 2014.
