Gov. Greg Abbott led Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke 45-40 in the poll of 1200 self-declared registered voters from Aug. 28-Sept. 6. Eight percent of voters were still undecided. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s 12-percentage point lead in June over Democratic challenger Mike Collier narrowed to seven points, 39-32. And Democrat Rochelle Garza was 5 points behind Attorney General Ken Paxton, who led the race 38-33. At least 20 percent of voters were still undecided in both of the races.
