Mike and Kristen Anderson have opened their first brick-and-mortar restaurant, the Montgomery Grove, after running two successful food trucks in Conroe.

The food follows the theme of the Andersons' pizza food truck — wood-fired and Texas-inspired. From burgers to tacos, the owners tend to experiment with the menu while using Texas-based spices. "I've always just loved food, I loved to cook," he said."When I get stressed, I go home and I want to cook."
Mike Anderson put his food dreams on hold while he served in the ministry as a youth pastor. He then came back to the food business and opened a second food truck called Dizzy Pies. The Andersons operated both food trucks at Deacon Baldy's, on FM 1488 in Magnolia.
