l that reveals that Bruce was trapped inside of a crashed car, having what was described as a seizure, while the car was still in gear.In the 911 call, a caller tells dispatchers that Bruce, 24, apparently had a seizure at around 8:23 p.m. on Wednesday and crashed his car into a pole in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to TMZ.
“People are trying to assist him,” the woman tells the dispatcher. But, the car is still in gear. You can see it because the tires are spinning. Can’t nobody seem to get in.”After emergency personnel arrived they reportedly performed CPR on Bruce before carrying him to a local hospital. He died Thursday morning.
TMZ reported that officials say no foul play is suspected, and the site said the Broward County Medical Examiner said “that a cause and manner of death are still pending.” Bruce was a star at Florida powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas from 2012-to-2015. That helped him become a heralded recruit — ESPN ranked him as a four-star commit and the 77th-best player in the country for the Class of 2016 — when he signed with the University of Miami.
