Adapted from DH Lawrence's classic novel, the film follows the title character, played by Corrin, as Lady Chatterley embarks on a passionate love affair with her groundskeeper Oliver Mellors after feeling dismissed by her husband, Sir Clifford Chatterley .
The trailer opens with Lady Chatterley's, or Constance Reid's, marriage to Clifford, but she quickly learns that her new affluent life is also a lonely one.It's not until she meets Oliver that she truly comes alive, as their affair leads her to a sensual, sexual awakening. But, as the pair become subject of local gossip and Connie is told that she's"confusing sex with love", she must decide whether to follow her heart or return to her husband and conform to societal expectations.
The film is directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre from a script by David Magee, and it also stars Joely Richardson (
