Near record heat continues in North Texas while Tropical Storm Harold affects South Texas
More triple digits are in store today. An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect with afternoon highs between 104-108. The humidity will make it feel more like 108-111. Please continue to take those heat precautions during the hottest part of the day.
The heat wave will continue into the weekend. Next week, however, there’s hope the triple digits will ease-up a bit.While we have another day of intense heat here in North Texas, down in far South Texas a tropical storm will be moving onshore. This storm is named “Harold” and will spread heavy rain from Corpus Christi to Brownsville. Some locations could receive 3-5 inches of rain, which could result in localized flooding.
