Most of us have had the “milkshake” experience—you know, the one where you put the ingredients in the blender, push the button, and then realize you forgot to put on the lid. The shake ends up all around the kitchen, the counter, the floor, and the walls, with little left to enjoy. Major life changes can sometimes feel like the lid was left off the blender. Look for the life lessons that can come through navigating major life changes and talk about them with your small group. The truth about major life changes is that you never really get over them. You simply do not get over the loss of a loved one.
