NATO head Jens Stoltenberg says Trump criticism has had an impact on NATO defense spending
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told U.S. lawmakers that the alliance remains vital and relevant to global crises, and said President Trump has had a positive effect on trends in defense spending among the allies.
Mr. Stoltenberg, speaking to a joint meeting of Congress Wednesday on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, applauded American contributions to the alliance and said NATO has benefited the U.S.
