The on loan Liverpool defender rolled his ankle during his Celtic debut last weekend against Dundee as the Scottish champions ran out 3-0 winners at Parkhead. The stopper only lasted 45 minutes before he was withdrawn as a precautionary measure. The initial plan was to give him the hour but he made way at the interval. He was deemed a major doubt for the Champions League opener at Feyenoord despite taking part in training and ended up missing out in Rotterdam.
