Preece headed home to North Carolina on Sunday after he was discharged from the Halifax Health Medical Center in the morning, his Stewart-Haas Racing teamIn an update earlier in the day, the team wrote:"He is awake, alert, and mobile. He has been communicating with family and friends. He will be evaluated by medical personnel later this morning."
The 32-year-old driver was transported to the hospital on Saturday night after his No. 41 Mustang flipped at least 10 times during the final laps of the NASCAR Cup Series race.
