⚠️ Nasty weather is about to move through N.J. ⛈ Watch out for heavy downpours, damaging winds and possible flooding. The bulk of the rain is expected to fall from mid-afternoon to late tonight.
The weather service’s New York office is also monitoring the possible development of a squall line of heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms that would impact the area from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Winds gusts should generally be 25 to 35 mph this afternoon and tonight, with the highest risk of flooding rains and damaging winds northwest of Interstate 95, the weather service said in its morning forecast discussion.
