Andy Cook, 23, faces charges in the Dec. 6, 2021, carjacking, which occurred as the woman sat inside her SUV in Montclair, according to U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger. Cook entered the car and drove off, while the man with the gun ran off after the carjacking, the complaint states. The complaint states Cook, who was allegedly driving, stopped the Porsche on Route 280, leaving it in the middle of the highway and ran off. He was later found inside a residential building in Newark, the complaint states.
