There is no clear timeframe on when safety works will be completed with demolition 'too early to say'
Mystery surrounds the Station Hotel three weeks on from a devastating blaze with NO decision taken over demolition of the iconic building .It means that 21 days from when a huge inferno ravaged the historic Ayr relic bosses are still scrambling to assess the charred remains.
Ayrshire Live has this week asked South Ayrshire Council for a timeline of when they expect painstaking safety works - which started on Monday - to be completed. And that is before they even reach the gable end - which shock drone footage revealed to be hanging by a thread last week. But Building Standards teams vowed to focus on the northern section of the building with charred remains and loose timbers at the clock tower being tackled first.Officials have however cited that safety works will be carried out in line with the Building Act 2003, which states that a "local authority must carry out such work as it considers necessary.
