The horrific clip shows then 12-year-old Abbie Jarvis being booted in the head and kicked across her body during an attack at a skatepark in Glasgow.
The mum of an autistic teen who was lured into a park and battered by her bully has hit out at Instagram after it failed to remove a violent clip of the attack from its platform.
As part of the campaign, we have been calling on social media giants, including Instagram, to remove violent online clips of attacks on teens before they are circulated. But Abbie's mum, Angela, claims that the platform is "ignoring" her daughter's pleas to remove the post after she reported it at least four times.
In the months after her attack, Abbie was diagnosed with PTSD and has since been unable to return to school. Each time she is reminded of the clip, the teen regresses mentally and finds it difficult to move on from her trauma. Angela said: "All of the posts on this account show kids being badly beaten up. I don't understand how Instagram can let this remain on their platform and I don't understand anybody who wants to watch it.
Angela added: "Not all children are involved, but some kids seem to be thriving off of watching clips like these. It is dangerous. Social media platforms must take it seriously and act now."
