School children filmed the moment Amelia-Paige was attacked on a bus and shouted 'one more, one more'
A mum has said she 'doesn't want her daughter to be the next Sophie Lancaster' after she was subjected to a vile attack on her way home from school.
Tyler, who saw the video of the fight after it was circulated on social media, said: "Has Bacup not learned lessons from what happened? The footage, filmed on Thursday , showed Amelia making vain attempts to defend herself as her attacker rained down a volley of blows on her head. Several others could be seen laughing in the background.
Speaking to LancsLive on Friday, both Amelia and mum Tyler said they were 'incredibly thankful' from the support of the Bacup community. Mum-of-five Tyler said that while some had urged her to remove the video from Facebook, she felt it was necessary to highlight what Amelia had gone through in order to ensure youngsters are made aware that it is unacceptable.
Tyler reported the incident to police after seeing the video. She said that she has been contacted by an officer who she said told her they would be visiting the school. A Lancashire police spokesperson said: “Yesterday we received a report of an assault committed on a school bus. We have spoken with the victim and their family and have visited the school in relation to this incident.
