The 10-year-old victim was promised change after he was attacked by another youngster in a house in Angus in November 2017 and no further action was taken.
The mum of a young boy who received no justice after being raped has accused the First Minister of “empty promises” over the case.
She said: “I wanted someone to apologise to my son for the mess that was made of everything. But now I feel like it was just words on paper.“I’m just totally disappointed.” The family say they were treated like criminals as they battled for justice and were forced to move out of the area. The official investigation into the case by PIRC - the Police Investigations & Review Commissioner - looked into eight complaints by the mother and upheld four of them.
