WARNING - DISTRESSING CONTENT: Footage shows the hero mother's reaction after a XL Bully dog attacked her child.
Video footage has captured the harrowing screams of a mum as she cradles her toddler after she was mauled by an XL bulldog.
Police attended the scene and confirmed a 29-year-old man was in charge of a dangerously out of control dog. He continued: “Police arrived seconds later - in numbers and very very rapidly. There were like six cars, an ambulance, a dog unit and about 20 officers here. I clearly saw a very large bite mark on the upper leg of the child. They were going to do more dressings in the ambulance. The mum was just screaming and crying."
The local, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “I ran out when I heard the mum screaming. The kid had a bite on his upper left buttocks. He was bleeding and screaming too. I have CPR training so when I heard the screaming I ran out because it sounded like someone had collapsed or something. Another resident said: "The man and police talked for a long time, then he was given a chance to say goodbye to the dog before it was taken away. First the dog was taken away, and then the man was put in handcuffs and taken away."
